Solution Highlights

Tucked along Al Waha Street in Al Quoz 4, one of Dubai’s busiest commercial and industrial districts, this office fit-out called for a workstation solution that could keep a small team working side by side without crowding the floor plan. Like many businesses operating out of Al Quoz’s compact office units, the client needed a setup where four people could share a single footprint comfortably, stay organized, and still have a workspace that looked sharp enough for client visits.

The brief, in essence, was about making the most of limited square footage. Standalone desks would have eaten up too much floor space and left cable clutter in plain sight, while a boardroom-style bench could have felt cramped for four people working full days. The answer was a 4-Person L-Shaped Workstation, built specifically to fit the room’s dimensions at 339 cm by 202 cm overall, with a 60 cm worktop depth that gives each user enough room to spread out a laptop, documents, and a monitor without elbowing a neighbor.

What stands out in this installation is the wood-on-wood design, finished in Chiba Oak Grey across an 18 mm worktop, paired with black wooden frame legs that add a sharp contrast rather than blending into the background. It is the kind of detail that turns a purely functional workstation into a piece that actually elevates the room. Underneath the worktop, four individual lockable drawers give each team member their own dedicated storage, so personal items and files no longer pile up on shared surfaces. Cable management grommets were built into the design as well, keeping power leads and charging cables routed neatly out of sight, which matters in an open layout where four people are working within arm’s reach of each other.

Once installed, the L-shaped configuration did what it was meant to do: it let the team sit together as a connected unit rather than four separate islands, while still giving each person a clearly defined zone. Movement around the desk improved, the floor felt less cluttered, and the office gained a noticeably more organized, professional appearance without needing a full redesign.

For businesses across Al Quoz 4 and the wider Al Quoz industrial and commercial belt, this project is a fairly typical example of what a well-planned L-shaped workstation can do for a shared office space. It is not about adding more furniture, it is about fitting the right furniture to the room, the team size, and the way people actually work day to day. With customizable sizing and finish options available, the same approach can be adapted for similar offices nearby that are working with comparable space constraints.
