From Initial Consultation to Final Installation — U-shape Storage Laboratory Furniture Project, Dubai, UAE

When a Dubai-based research and testing laboratory reached out to Skymoon Furnitures in March 2026, their requirement was clear: a fully fitted U-shaped storage system that would maximise every usable wall in their lab space. Here is how we delivered it.

Consultation & Site Visit (Dubai, UAE)
Our team visited the facility in Dubai to measure the room dimensions, assess load-bearing wall positions, check plumbing and utility clearances, and map out the optimal U-shape configuration. Based on the site assessment, we designed a three-wall storage layout with overhead cabinets, base storage units, and a continuous worktop surface — purpose-built to keep equipment, reagents, and lab consumables organised and immediately accessible.

Custom Manufacturing at Our Jebel Ali Factory
All cabinetry, shelving units, and worktop panels were manufactured in-house at our factory in Jebel Ali Industrial Area, Dubai. The entire build used EGGER® Germany board — a premium European-grade engineered wood known for its dimensional stability, moisture resistance, and surface durability, making it well-suited to the demands of an active research and testing environment. Edge banding, drilling, and panel cutting were all completed in-house to ensure precise fit against the client’s measured wall dimensions. No off-the-shelf units were used — every component was cut to the lab’s exact specifications.

Quality Check & Delivery to Dubai
Before dispatch, all panels, cabinet carcasses, doors, and hardware were inspected for dimensional accuracy, finish consistency, and hinge alignment. Delivery was completed from our Jebel Ali warehouse directly to the client’s laboratory in Dubai within 7 working days of production sign-off. Components were packed individually and labelled by zone — overhead, base, and worktop sections — to make on-site assembly straightforward and reduce installation time.

Professional Installation in Dubai, UAE
Our installation team carried out the complete fit-out on-site at the laboratory in Dubai. The U-shaped layout was assembled wall-by-wall — base units first, then worktop installation with sealed joints, followed by overhead cabinet mounting at the approved height. All units were levelled, wall-anchored for stability, and fitted with soft-close hinges and drawer runners. The installation was completed with minimal disruption to the laboratory’s ongoing operations, and the space was handed over clean and ready for immediate use.

Result
The research and testing laboratory in Dubai now operates with a fully fitted U-shaped storage system built from EGGER® Germany board — providing structured overhead storage, organised base cabinets, and a continuous worktop across three walls. The layout maximises floor-to-ceiling storage capacity, keeps all lab consumables and equipment within arm’s reach, and creates a clean, professional working environment. The project was delivered and installed on time, within budget, and within 7 working days of production sign-off.
